Spring Break!

Youn Ji and I are on Spring Break, but that does not mean we put our project on pause. Youn Ji is currently working on design sketches of the outfit she wants to create. So drawings should be showing up shortly. I finally have time to work on a short title sequence of our project. Back from Brooklyn

Youn Ji and I ventured to Brooklyn to meet up with Giana and her friend Justine Cooper to received a bundle of clothes and other materials for this project. Special thanks to the ITP student/alumni community for their contributions of materials.

Now, we have quite amount of material, thanks to people donating, so I can start with hand on stuff.
Just to remind, let me describe briefly what I'm going to do here, before going to get started.
First step for this design challenge is analysing , based on the material, I'm going to research about practical usage of certain fabric I have. Then, I'm going to study about this season's trend.

Gathering Materials

We made alot of progress over this past week. Youn Ji and I built a donation box for the ITP Lounge. Students have already donated clothing. But the biggest contribution was through Giana's friend Justine Cooper and Jen Cooke. Before I get ahead of myself, I would like to mention alittle bit about Giana Gonzalez. Giana is an ITP alumni who worked on the thesis about Hacking Conture. She worked on cracking the design code of high fashion. Her documentation has been an incredible inspiration for our project.

Anyways, we'd like to thank Giana, Justine, and Jen for their help and donated materials for this project. I thought gathering fabric/clothing would be the most difficult hurdle. We are very lucky.

We would also like to thank some ITPers who also donated clothing: Kenny Kim, Liz Gallo, Nancy Garcia, Angela Pablo and whoever else donated. Thanks.

Hello folks,
I'm Monstar(Youn). I consider myself as a Fashion designer, Visual Artist, and Interaction Designer.
Not familiar with none of them? no problem. I don't know what that truely means either. But I do know what we'll going to here.
Me and Rob are going to have very exciting adventure for 6 weeks. This is going to be very fun and worthy journey,, so I want you guys fasten your belt. Argh~!
